This service includes but is not limited to, the availability and work done by our funeral director(s) and staff on behalf of the purchaser. This would include the coordination and directing the services of our staff and agents with those of the hospital, nursing home, or cemetery or crematorium in picking up the deceased from the place of death and making the necessary arrangements for final disposition. It also includes the invoices, booking staff and vehicles and other support functions.

The initial transfer of the deceased to our facility: This is a 24-hour service and includes staff, a transfer vehicle and specialized equipment.

The small chapel is better suited for families expecting less than 30 people and is rented for $169.50/hour. You are welcome to bring music, flowers and photos, however food is not permitted in the buildings.

The large chapel at St. John’s Dixie is a beautiful facility to hold a visitation, funeral or memorial service. The chapel is newly designed with large windows that provide a gorgeous, serene environment. This large chapel is appropriate for anyone expecting more than 30 guests, and can accommodate up to 300 people. Tea and coffee can be arranged, and families are welcome to bring food, music, photos and flowers. A portable TV/DVD can be booked in advance. The chapel fee is $621.50 for a minimum of 2 hours, or $932.25 for a 3 hour period.

Use of our service van to bring flowers to the visitation, funeral service and graveside.

The lead vehicle of a funeral procession that navigates the accompanying cars in a safe and unified manner.  The clergy, if chosen, would ride in this car as well.

A limousine that can drive the family between their home, funeral service, and reception. 

The use of a hearse to transfer the casket during the funeral service.

If the requested vehicles go over the 3 hour limit this charge will apply.

Additional visitation of 2 hours at any time before the service.

If you request a reception after the funeral, we will provide staff to facilitate the reception and help out with anything needed for you and your family.

This usually includes fruit and vegetable crudités, tea sandwiches, light desserts, coffee and tea.  Depending on what is chosen, catering is between $5-$20 per person.

Additional pallbearers to assist you in carrying the casket from the vehicle to the graveside. Please note that this is only necessary when there are not enough able friends or family to act as pallbearers. 

Includes a register book, 50 memorial cards and 50 thank you cards. Additional memorial cards and thank you cards can be purchased for $2 per card with a minimum 50 card order.

Many families have found comfort in having a memory of all the attendees of the funeral service in a guest signed register book.

Depending on how you would like to honour a loved one a ceremony can be held by a priest, minister, reverend, or non-denominational celebrant at any location. Prices may vary however the average honourarium is $250.

Depending on where the death occurs, we may be required to send a second staff member to the place of death for the transfer. This is done in the case of a nursing home death or a death at home. There will also be situations beyond our control where a second staff member is required.
